Hello and Thank you for visiting my site.
I live in upstate NY, in
the Corning area. I have a great wife of 23 yrs. and 2 wonderful
children. My hobbies include, photography, camping with the family,
enjoying nature, and taking long talking walks with my wife.
I've
only just started into photography in 2004, but I've always loved
and played with the idea of photography. I worked in the grocery industry
for about 25 years and never had the time to get started into photography.
I left the grocery business for medical reasons and went back to college
to finish my Accounting Degree, now I work as a bookkeeper for
a CPA firm and have weekends off. This now has given me
the time to start learning the art of photography.
While
in-between jobs I purchased my first digital camera, Olympus 4000,
and started taking lots and lots of pictures. I found myself really
enjoying taking photographs, and being outdoors sournded by the beauty
of nature. I could practice alot without the expense of film. I also
joined a wonderful web site,
www.naturephotographers.net , where
I have learned from the critiques of others (very helpful).
I just recently puchased a new DSLR, Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D and
have several lenses, tripod, plamps, cable release, 12" reflector
and lite disc.
While attending college I worked as a part-time
bookkeeper for a local florist. While there I stared taking
photos of his flowers, (you'll notice a lot of flower images) then
some of his arrangements, and then I took images of all his funeral
arrangements. With all the images of his funeral arrangements,
I composed a photo book for him and his customers, so
they could view his work and to help them in the decision
making. This is when I really knew how much I loved photography.
I love nature, all aspects of nature, and outdoor
photography, as well as beautiful flowers. So I want to
capture and present the beauty this wonderful planet,
"Mother Earth", has to offer (large or small) through my images.
